O God,

You have called us all to be disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today we lift up into your care those disciples who are ministering to Your children on college and university campuses all around the world.

We pray that the Holy Spirit will work within their ministries and that You will equip them with the wisdom and promptings of what You would have them do in their interactions with students.

Above everything we pray that through Your guidance those who minister to students will help the students gain knowledge of their identity in Christ.

It is because of You that we are here, help each of us to remember our purpose as Your disciples so that we all can support Your ministry within Your creation. Amen

Justin Halbersma is a provisional member towards elders orders in the Minnesota Annual Conference. He graduated from Duke Divinity School in 2007 and was the pastor of Chatfield UMC in Chatfield, MN until June 2009. He is now an associate pastor at Central UMC in Winona, MN and also the campus minister for United Campus Ministries on the campus of Winona State University. Justin has been married to his wife, Stacy, for 7 years and has a 4 year-old son Micah and another son due on September 17th.
