Sharing is caring.
September 3rd, 2008Okay - you’re here at CU because you need help, inspiration, or someone to tell you that you aren’t crazy for being in campus ministry. I’m starting my 11th year on my third campus and I know I need to hear it. At its core, CU exists to build community and share resources. So here goes: I am going to post an idea/tip/resource each weekday here at the Union Office to keep us falling forward. Other new features include a weekly video, a place to post campus ministry jobs, and a new roster of bloggers who you should at least check out.
But if CU is to become the kind of resource we all need, we need to learn how to share. I’ve begun searching YouTube for Wesley Foundation and UMCM videos, writing conference offices about upcoming positions, and finding interesting blogs to link to that speak into our context. Ashlee continues to invite scholars and pastors to contribute pieces that will feed and challenge your work with the students at your school (check out Chris Kiesling’s new article “A Long Adolescence in a Lame Direction, Part 1″). But you know stuff and people that we don’t. If there is a resource or leader who has helped you - please share. Send everything to me at editor@collegeunion.org and I will get it up within 48 hours.
After all, “the best ideas are common property (Seneca)”
See you at the Union,
Creighton
