Eye on the Goal: Spiritual Transformation

The November theme for the website is Evaluation and Strategic Planning. You may not initially think of ways that this connects with nurturing the spiritual life, but I would suggest that there are strong connections for the role of evaluation and planning in one’s own spiritual life! Personal reflection, maintaining spiritual disciplines, and memorizing Scripture are just a couple of the ways we integrate evaluation and planning into our lives on a regular basis. In “Setting Goals for Transformation,” I identify the importance of helping students set goals in growing in their spiritual life. The second article, “Soul Health: You Can’t be Fruitful if You Neglect the Source,” identifies specific questions for those in ministry positions to ask of themselves.
Finally, here are some other resources that have been helpful for me in the past when doing evaluation and strategic planning at the program level! Happy Reflecting!
