History, Philosophy, and Format - Part I in a series on small groups.
Meet Rob Matchett:
Rob Matchett is the Small Group and Discipleship Pastor at Grace Fellowship UMC in Katy, Texas. Rob has been working with college students in a variety of settings since 1991. He first got into college ministry at Saddleback Church in California, served as the college/young adult pastor at Arlington Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, and served for almost nine years as the Chaplain at Houston Baptist University. He graduated from Stephen F Austin and received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary. Currently, he is working toward a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership at Gordon Cornwell Theological Seminary. Rob is married to Misti and they have three children - Sophia, Samuel, and Sawyer. Rob will be leading a workshop on small groups at Refresh ‘06 in Houston, TX.
