Here we hope to create a dialogue (or diaBLOGue) that gets at what we have learned and are learning about worship. We both are practitioners of worship in a campus life setting, JD at a graduate theological school, and myself at a liberal arts university. In addition to the BLOG we will have a bonus features section where will post interviews and resources from various worship leaders, songwriters, theologians and pastors we encounter along the way.

Mark Benjamin is the Director of Discipleship & Worship Arts at George Fox University in Newberg, OR. Mark graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary and is an ordained pastor in the Wesleyan Church. At George Fox he gives leadership to equipping student worship leaders and supports a creative team of students in planning campus worship events. He and his wife Erin have 2 boys Silas and John Ezra. Mark is involved with worship and teaching at various conferences and churches throughout the year including The Institute of Campus Revival & Awakening.

John David (J.D.) Walt, Jr. is Dean of the Chapel at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky where he gives leadership to the worship and prayer life of the community. J.D. is a licensed attorney, an Elder in the United Methodist Church, an author and a songwriter, authoring and coauthoring worship music with notable worship leaders like Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Matt Maher and others. He is also involved with the Passion movement of college students across the United States. J.D. is married to Tiffani and they have four children and a Golden Doodle named Molly. The Walt family has a deep care and outreaching ministry to orphans around the world.
